This is a block of timber, burned into discipline.

The Cenere Block Table is built from solid charred wood, shaped into a compact cube with deep grain, natural checking, and a scorched black finish that gives the piece its weight before you even touch it.

The surface is finished using a Shou Sugi Ban-style charring process, where the timber is burned, brushed, and sealed to bring out the grain while strengthening the surface. Every crack, split, and tonal shift is part of the material, not decoration.

Use it as a side table, bedside block, display plinth, or sculptural stool. It works best next to soft upholstery, stone floors, low sofas, and spaces that need one raw object to ground the room.

Each piece is handcrafted locally from solid timber, individually charred, sealed, and finished by hand. No two blocks will ever be identical.
