About Dorsa.

Dorsa operates at the intersection of architecture and furniture.

Born in Melbourne, the focus is simple - produce pieces that hold their place within a space, not compete with it. Each form is considered against proportion, material, and context. Nothing is added without reason.

Production is controlled. Materials are selected for longevity, not trend. The outcome is furniture that integrates cleanly into high-end residential and commercial environments.

This is not mass production or retail marketplace - It’s a tighter system - fewer pieces, executed properly.

Small Run Production.

Built in limited quantities. Handled properly, start to finish.

Unmatched Quality

Direct Model. No Layers.

Controlled production. Controlled pricing.

Budget Pricing

Live well early.

We believe good spaces aren’t just reserved for those entering retirement. They’re built for those still performing, who want to flaunt their hard work.

Young and Rich Design
  • Precision Built. Not Assembled.

Every piece starts in controlled production. CNC-cut frames, measured tolerances, repeatable accuracy. Nothing guessed, nothing forced to fit later. What you get is exact from the beginning.

    Dorsa Process
  • Form Comes First. Always.

Before materials, before finishes, the shape is resolved. Proportions are tested, angles refined, volumes balanced. This is why Dorsa pieces feel right in a space - not just look good on their own.

    Architectural Furnishings
  • Materials That Outlast Trends.

We work with solid timber, engineered structures, and mineral-based surfaces like travertine. Chosen for durability, not convenience. Built to hold form, age properly, and stay relevant for years.

    Design Philosophy
  • Sourced Raw. Finished In-House.

Stone is selected at quarry level. Timber is graded before production. From there, everything is cut, shaped, and finished through our process - not outsourced across five suppliers. Fewer hands, better outcomes.

From the Director..

Dorsa wasn’t built to chase volume. It was built to control outcomes.

The company started in Melbourne, with an early presence in Richmond’s main retail precinct. It was high traffic, fast turnover, constant movement. It proved the model, but it also exposed the problem - mass-market furniture prioritises speed over intent. Pieces move, but spaces rarely improve.
That phase was short.

The shift came in East Melbourne, where the context changed. The clients changed. The conversations became slower, more deliberate. Instead of selling into volume, Dorsa began working alongside interior designers, architects, and private clients who cared about how a space actually resolves, not just how it looks in isolation.
That decision defined everything that followed.

Dorsa does not operate like a traditional retailer. It doesn’t push inventory, follow trends, or build for showroom cycles. Instead, the focus is on form, proportion, and material integrity. Every piece is developed with intent - resolved before production, tested for real-world use, and built to hold its presence over time, not just at installation.

As demand grew, the model scaled - but selectively.
Production expanded across Australia, working with specialised manufacturers and craftspeople rather than generalised supply chains. This allowed for tighter control over quality, consistency, and finish. The result is not mass output, but repeatable precision at a higher standard.

Today, Dorsa is specified across residential and commercial projects throughout Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. Private homes in Toorak, Brighton, and Armadale. Apartments and developments through Southbank, Surry Hills, Burleigh Heads, Newfarm, Kangaroo Point, Newstead, and more. Each project approached as a collaboration, not a transaction.

Dorsa works directly with those shaping the space - design studios, architecture firms, and developers - integrating furniture as part of the outcome, not an afterthought.
That remains the core principle.

Fewer pieces. Executed properly.
No excess. No filler.
Furniture that performs in the space it’s placed.

Dorsa continues to grow through that approach, collaborating with like-minded partners who value clarity, control, and long-term design integrity over volume.
