We’re Dorsa - born in Melbourne, built on obsession. Not a quaint workshop story, just a young crew sick of cheap, mass-produced furniture filling good homes. So we went all in - late-night sketches, flights across the world, and real time spent in workshops with makers who understand craft the way we do.

Built by People Who Actually Care

Every Dorsa piece is handcrafted by a small, experienced team headquartered in Queensland, Australia. These are not anonymous production lines or automated factories pushing out thousands of identical pieces per day.

Because the team is intentionally small, attention stays high.

Every sofa, chair, and table that leaves the workshop has been handled by people who understand the difference between something that merely looks good online and something that actually feels right in a real home.

Traditional furniture retail is built on extreme markups.

The industry accepted this for decades because customers had no visibility into the process.

We chose a different model.

Dorsa focuses on direct production and controlled distribution, which allows us to keep pricing far closer to the actual cost of creating the piece. This does not mean cutting corners. It means removing unnecessary layers between the workshop and the home it is ultimately meant for.

From the Founder:

The real.
I’m not who you expect to be running a luxury furniture label. No heritage surname. No four-generation workshop. Just taste, obsession, and the nerve to ship.

I tried the polite myth. It read clean. It wasn’t me. This is.

Why this exists?
Because too much “luxury” is foam dressed as marble.
Because comfort should hit hard without quitting in 6 months.
Because the young and hungry deserve pieces that match their grind.
We make furniture that f*cks - beauty with backbone, weight with intention, shapes that stay handsome when the party ends.


What I believe:

  • Earned luxury beats borrowed aesthetics.
  • Honesty > hype. If it’s not right, it doesn’t launch.
  • Fewer pieces, higher standards.


Design should move emotion and numbers. ROI is part of the brief.


How I build:
I live in the details. Fabrics under fingernails. Frames stress-tested, not assumed.
Stone lots hand-picked. Prototypes killed if they don’t pass the sit test.
If I wouldn’t place it in my own space, you’ll never see it in yours.
